We fabricated our second model. The team designed and manufactured this aircraft in anticipation of the SAE ADC Southern Section 2022-2023. SAE ADC ISS (SS) was our first national competition, which was a great learning experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
During the year 2022, our team participated in the SAE Aero Design Competition West which was held in the USA by SAE International. Our aircraft design was made into reality by the team which gave the team its first experience of fabrication of an aircraft. Team named the aircraft Rudra. The name Rudra translates as fearsome or praiseworthy.
In the year 2020, our team participated in Aero Design and Fly Competition. It was our first ever Competition as a team. Covid-19 Pandemic was one of the major obstacles in the way, as the team was new to the field and it was also the reason for the competition to be conducted online, so we had to submit our designs online. Although a physical model could not be developed, our aircraft design was named Aksha. As the name suggests, Aksha means blessing from God. And we recieved an LOR from the competition organisers looking at our dedication and hardwork.
